Happy New Year members. We hope you all had a great holiday season. I know you have not heard from us in a while as we have all been busy. The trails are groomed and very good. Hats off to the groomer operators of the BBB, they have done a fantastic job over the past couple of weeks.
All trails are open, water bars are not bad at all. Signing is getting better every week. We do have a couple of areas that need more signage. A new trail to the dog track is on the drawing board. There is a rough trail there now, it is on the easterly side of Rt 106, behind the marine patrol building. Please use caution if you attempt this trail as it is not marked. We also have had some issues with what I like to call “Poachers” in some areas. Poachers are people that are not staying on the trail and disrupting landowners by doing so. A large section of trail near Lamprey Rd is in danger of being closed for good do to poachers. We have signed it heavily, hope fully it stops. Please stay on the trail.
The Belknap County map is finally done. They are available at Brookside Pizza and D&D Market at this point, they will be available online soon.
Our next meeting has been moved to Monday February 9th due to a scheduling conflict. 7pm at the Corner meeting House. NHF&G CO Mike Eastman will be at this meeting.
Don’t forget the NHSA Easter Seals Ride In at the Balsam’s in Dixville Notch, NH. February 6th, 7th, & 8th. Go to www.nhsa.com for more information.
Get out there and enjoy the trails, explore the county and surrounding areas.
